Schedule A Visit
Thank you so much for your interest in a visit from Bunny Blessings!
Our nonprofit ministry consists of 20 bunnies and over 60 volunteers with visits occurring both out in the community and onsite in our Bunny Barn located in Belmont, North Carolina. Visits to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, schools, libraries, shelters, etc occur about 2-5 times per week depending on volunteer availability. These visits typically are in large rooms with a central cleared area for bunny pens and last about one hour with additional brief set up and take down time. We do enjoy taking photos to share our ministry with our supporters on social media so please be prepared to notify us of any participants who may not be photographed.
In order to help keep our ministry hopping and support our $8,000 monthly budget, our minimum donation amount starts at $150 donation for a visit. The exact suggested donation amount is determined once your request is evaluated and depends on distance from our Bunny Barn, number of participants and length of visit. If your facility is unable to make a donation at this time, please let us know as we do occasionally have sponsorships available. -
Visit The Barn
Our 501c3 nonprofit ministry also hosts visits at the Bunny Barn such as individuals, families, field trips, church youth groups, Boy Scout/Girl Scout troops, Senior groups, etc. Personal visits are handled depending on scheduling and staff/volunteer availability.

Reading With Rabbits
Below is a synopsis of how the program works:
Generally, we arrive at your school at 8:45 am to set up. The program begins at 9 and usually ends around 10 am. We are flexible with the specific times, however, the bunnies only work for about an hour.
We dedicate Mondays to our Reading With Rabbits program. Our bunnies are busy visiting other places during the rest of the week.
We need access to the school library or another closed area in which to confine a possible runaway rabbit (this happened once!) It also helps to keep the noise level to a minimum. Rabbits prefer quiet and calm.
We ask that only 8 students are brought to the library at a time in student teams of 2 so that while one student reads to the rabbit for 5 minutes, the other student is holding and petting the rabbit. The students will spend ten minutes with the rabbits and then we rotate to the next group of student teams.
We also need the librarian and/or a teacher/parent volunteer to remain present at all times during the program in the event a student requires immediate attention. A minimum of someone to escort students to and from classrooms/library and someone to stay with us is necessary.
Our suggested donation to secure the visit is $10 per student to help cover the cost of transportation, supplies, insurance and administrative help. Limited sponsorships are available if needed, please inquire.
Let the bunnies increase your student's love for reading! Fill out the request information below and we will contact you to work out the details so your students can increase their love for reading by Reading With Rabbits! -

Junior & Teen Bunny Brigade
Many kids and teens have asked how to be a part of Bunny Blessings and our brilliant bunnies finally put their furry heads together to come up with a genius plan: Introducing….. drumroll please…. the Bunny Blessings Junior Bunny Brigade and Teen Bunny Brigade!
A brigade is a small troop on a mission and our Junior and Teen Bunny Brigades are hopping up to the challenge to serve and care for others by supporting our nonprofit ministry.
While members of the Junior and Teen Bunny Brigades will certainly have a good time in our program, they will also be learning the importance of responsible animal care and how to serve their community. They will understand more about therapy animals, how to help people who may be sick, sad, tired and lonely, and also how to discover their own unique gifts to love other people. Children and teens will make crafts that will be delivered to residents at assisted living facilities and nursing homes. They will discover ways to help financially provide for our bunnies and ministry visits. We aim to help a younger generation turn their focus from themselves to those around them.
Junior Bunny Brigade is for ages 5-12.
Teen Bunny Brigade is for ages 13-17. Teen Bunny Brigade can meet monthly at the Bunny Barn to learn about bunny care, bunny handling and to do a bunny care shift or other projects around the barn. This is a great time to earn community service hours. Enrolling in Teen Bunny Brigade is the same as Junior Bunny Brigade with the exception of offering monthly bunny care shifts instead of quarterly.
There is a $25 fee for a 1 year Junior & Teen Bunny Brigade memberships which offers:One free t-shirt
An invitation to attend one Bunny Brigade event at the Bunny Barn each quarter (Teens can meet monthly) which includes interactions with the bunnies, helping with projects at the Bunny Barn, learning about bunny care and preparing crafts to share with others. Activities will be age appropriate.
Enlisting as a Bunny Blessings monthly sponsor- minimum $5 per month- child/teen is encouraged to earn through chores, lemonade stands, birthday fundraising, etc. For $25 a month they may “adopt” a bunny.
The $25 annual membership fee is due every 12 months from join date.
Thank you bunny much for supporting our mission to Love One Another! We're excited to have you join us!
